Traditional Martial Arts Classes suitable for the entire family. Aikido techniques are derived from Aiki-jujutsu techniques of ancient Japan. Aikido was popularized by film star Steven Seagal in many of his movies.
Due to it's very effective but non-violent nature, Aikido provides a powerful form of self defence and is taught to police forces throughout Japan. Aikido’s goal is to neutralize an aggression and render the attacker harmless, without causing any serious injury. To do this requires skill, but more importantly, it requires an ethical intention. Aikido is a dynamic martial art suitable for the whole family.
The study of Yoshinkan Aikido is the study of fundamental movements and solid basic techniques. Yoshinkan Aikido as a martial art is non-competitive. Aikido is comprised of many circular movements intended to redirect your attacker’s energy resulting in very effective controls and throws.
The instructor is a 4th Degree Black belt whose teaching license and black belt certificates were issued directly from the world headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
